Lamont, a member of the winning Cairns Coconut Caravan Resort team at the 2005 Crocodile Trophy and Kelleher, who finished 3rd in the women\'s event at the Mont 24 hour, joined forces under the banner of the Flight Centre Scott team with an ideal first up result.
Completing twenty laps of the \'sweet\' course in the grasstree country of Kooralbyn Valley, the pair finished almost four laps ahead of their nearest rivals from MTB Dirt.

“I\'m glad it\'s over but the course was great, not too muddy,� Lamont said at race end.

“I was in trouble until I borrowed a set of Nite Rider lights, reckon I was lapping three minutes faster.�

Fellow Cairns mountain biker David Wood, best known as the mainstay of the Crocodile Trophy\'s Felt Shimano Dream Team, turned in one of the standout performances of the Nite Rider Dusk Till Dawn.See All Event Posts
