Wicked Wednesday
Rob Howard / 01.02.2006

The temperature dropped, from bitterly cold to below freezing, but the pace of activity and competition heated up on Wednesday, day 3 of G4 International selection. The programme varied between teams, but this was a typical programme, with time allowed to drive between each stage:
0600 - Get up, cook breakfast, break camp, transit to camp
0700 - Navigation (1 hour 15 mins)
08.45 – Mountain Biking (1 hour 15mins)
10.15 – GPS (1 hour 15 mins)
12.00 - Lunch
12.45 – Vehicle Driver Training
14.00 – Winch Training
15.00 – Vehicle Driver Training cont.
16.30 – Chase Climbing
17.20 – Out of the Box Challenge
18.10 – Dinner with Media
19.15 – Bandit Navigation
20.15 – Night Convoy Exercise
21.15 – Communications Workshop
22.30 – Set up Camp and Sleep
With such an action packed schedule it’s not surprising some of the competitors are now looking tired and the stress is beginning to show. Today was probably the toughest day and to make it harder the temperature dropped well below freezing by the afternoon. Carolina Hess of Brazil said she had never been so cold in her life.See All Event Posts
