One night in Vegas

Team Geronimo! (Wendy, Anna and myself) arrived at Southbank on our bikes and in our dresses...well it was late night shopping in the city. We had glitter in our hair and glo stick necklaces ready for a good night on the town.

Our race strategy was simple. We would try and do all the fun bits and only punch checkpoints if they happened to be on the way. So with that in mind (and Anna and I still in our dresses) the race started and we set off for the kayak challenge. We phoned through our chat up line on the run and took three tries to get a trivia question right but had those points in the bag before we got to the boats. Brisbane river in the city centre is a fine place to be on a Friday night. Puched the checkpoint hanging off the bridge just in front of Gap Cycles team (Dakarh) and nearly crashed into Gods of Thunder because they made me laugh too much.

Onto the climbing wall. Who was that mad kiwi woman there. She was great. Had a quick chat to marshalls Rachel and Karen and did our climbing tasks despite our sweaty hands and dresses. Onto the casino where we really did dance around the roulette table. It was a good strategy because our colour came up first spin.

We got intercepted at the King of Kings resturant and escorted right out of the Myer Centre by none other than THE Centre Management (aka stroppy woman). In Queen St mall we had suprisingly little difficulty finding someone to take our photo on their mobile phone. Thanks freindly mystery woman.
