End of Day One

Team 2-Enduraventure are racing at a breakneck pace and current projections are for them to finish in the race ahead of expectations. They have passed CP 16 and enroute to CP 17.

Teams 12 (Oakwood Homes #1) and 13 (Oakwood Homes #2) have decided to stop racing. No injuries, but with tempatures hovering near freezing they thought it best.

The cutoff time for CP10 has passed and teams arriving after 23:45 will be re-routed to a shorter race course. Teams on the shorter course are: Team 1 (Blazing Saddles), 4 (Fast and Furious), 6 (Leaders of the Pack), 8 (Marine Express), 16 (Redneck Racing, Inc.), 18 (RSG), 19 (SJV-STW) and 22 (Three Blind Mice).

Most teams are now mountain biking through terrain that hasn't seen an assault like this since Gen. Sherman marched past during the Civil War.

With 3 teams DNF and 1 DQ'd we are down to 16 teams on the race course. As tempatures near freezing racers are taking extra caution to prevent hypothermia. But as in all adventure races no amount of prevention can stop the SLEEPMONSTERS from springing up.
