Only 6 teams can possibly finish the entire race course

Only 6 teams can possibly finish the entire race course as we move into day 2. Team 2-Enduraventure is still in the lead and moving at a steady pace on the lake. Team 17-Rock Creek Outfitters, team 7-Lightspeed/Inova 8, team 9-NADS/Synovus Mortgage/Cycleworks/Trek, team 15-Odyssey Adventure Racing and team 23-Liteweight are still hoping to make the final cut off time to complete the entire race.

Team 2-Enduraventure is beginning to sense the finish line is near. After this last paddling section, they only have a short run to the finish. After a third place finish two weeks ago in the Swamp Stomp 2006, the team is on track for a win.

The weather has definately played a part in 9 teams pulling themselves out of the race. The chilly temps and steady (sometimes gusting) winds all night some teams just had enough. For many of these teams this was their first ever adventure race. Teams that DNF are as follows:

Team 4-Go to 11 dropped at TA2, Team 8-Marine Express dropped at CP10, Team 10-No Man's Land at CP8, Team 11-Oakwood Homes #1 at CP8 as well as Team 12-Oakwood Homes #2. Team 13-Oakwood Homes was DQ'd at CP8. Team 18-RSG left the race at CP10. Team 21-Turtle DNF'd at CP8. Team 22-Three Blind Mice dropped out at CP8. Team 5-Fast and Furious dropped out at CP10.
