Team Spyder Leads X-Adventure Raid World Cup After Taxing Fourth Stage

The combination of stifling heat and soft sand has left its mark on competitors and opened up the race after four stages of the X-Adventure Raid World Cup in South-Western Australia.

The U.S. / Australian combination of team Spyder leads the race, barely six minutes in front of Golite Timberland of New Zealand, with the Brits of Saab Salomon almost ten minutes off the lead in third place.

Golite Timberland’s move up the leaderboard came on the end of a solid trekking effort during the punishing stage four, a 33 kilometre trek through sand and hills on the exposed South-West Coast of Western Australia.

The stage was punctuated by a ropes course which provided both a challenge and a brief respite from soft sand for the sixteen teams contesting the X-Adventure Raid World Cup series opener.See All Event Posts
