Infiterra Sports LLC announced the Prize Purse for the 2006 Michigan Coast to Coast today. The 2nd annual expedition length race boasts a hefty cash purse as well as juicy stage prizes and overall place prizes that will go 5 teams deep. The prize breakdown, which totals over $20,000 with $12,500 in cash, includes prizes from the following sponsors: Salomon Shoes & Packs, Moosejaw Gift Certificates, Lendal Paddles, Axis Gear Jerseys, Jet Lites, Smartwool Socks, Seal Skinz Socks and Gloves, E-Caps & Hammer Gel Product, Petzl Ascender Sets, Gear & Apparel from Fraser Bike Shop and more. Co-race director and Infiterra Sports partner Chad Lambert stated, “The Coast to Coast is our big race and we leverage our sponsors as much as possible to be able to offer a prize laden race. Offering big prizes and prize money brings an extra dimension to the race and will hopefully lead to more top tier teams entering.�
Infiterra Sports also announced a final registration date for the Michigan Coast to Coast of April 21st, 2006.
