John Michael Flynn / 19.03.2006

With one short mountain bike stage remaining, only a catastrophic failure can prevent the US/Australian combination of Team Spyder from winning the opening race of the X-Adventure Raid World Cup Series in South-Western Australia.Driving at the front during the penultimate mountain bike stage this afternoon, well rested Australian Narelle Ash managed to pull her team-mates a further four minutes clear of their main rivals Golite Timberland of New Zealand and Saab Salomon of Great Britain. One hour from now, team Spyder can expect to cross the finish line in the town of Margaret River as winners of the X-Adventure Raid World Cup series opener for 2006.
A full report will follow, once the teams reach Margaret River.See All Event Posts
