U.S. team Spyder has won the opening race of the X-Adventure Raid World Cup series in South-Western Australia.

The lineup consisting of U.S. competitors Travis Macy and Dave Mackey of Colorado, along with Australians Narelle Ash and Darren Clarke, crossed the finish line at 4.00pm (Australian time)to win the race by close to eighteen minutes from New Zealand\'s Golite Timberland, British team Saab Salomon and French outfit Sport 2000 Lafuma.

\"It\'s always a good feeling to finish a race with all ends intact and also everyone in good spirits,\" Spyder\'s Travis Macy told Sleepmonsters.

\"We had a fun time together and I think turned out to be a good strategy and we stuck with it.\"

Spyder chose to rest their female team member Narelle Ash for the punishingly long run and bike legs yesterday afternoon.See All Event Posts
