The Race Begins - Race Update #1

The sun was already beating down to make for a sweaty beginning in what looks like a long day for the 41 racers. Race director Paul Romero said in the Pre Race Meeting, \"Some of the racers could be done in 15 hours, 18 hours or more. We are just not sure - it will all depend on how athletes react to the heat.\" With predicted highs of over 95F racers are in for a tough day.

At the top of the very first hill on the course, it was Team Dart out in front , with Team Ruination and Team Paddle Me following close behind.
