Explore the West Race Update #4 9:30 pm PST

These athletes were put through hell - or at least the temperatures of hell. Every time I cover one of these races something happens to make the conditions way more challenging then ever intended. And today was no exception.

Two teams have dropped out at Checkpoint 6. Team Pita (team of 3) and Team Lucha (team of 2) have called it a day, but everyone else is going strong.


The six teams that have come in are as follows:

#1) Team Dart leaving Check point 6 at 4:30 PM
#2) Team JBDK leaving Check point 6 at 6:10 PM
#3) Team Ruination leaving Check point 6 at 7:44 PM
#4) Team Pita leaving Check point 6 at 7:45 PM
#5) Team Feed the Machine leaving Check point 6 at 7:50 PM
#6) Team Kayak Lake Mead leaving Check point 6 at 8:100 PM

Side notes:
It was \"Team Feed the Machine\" that was detained by security for trespassing. I am not sure what transpired but Paul Romero managed to negotiate a successful solution. Paul apparently used two Gatorades and four donuts as bounty to make the switch for the hostages. I will see if I can find out more details for the next report.
