Sprint Race & Stage One of the Expedition Race: Checkpoint 1

Following the opening ceremony, the Sprint Race and stage one of the Expedition Race began at Mattagami First Nation community centre at 10:10 a.m. in the middle of a heavy downpour. All 21 teams headed out on bicycle toward checkpoint one. By 11:43 a.m., all teams had passed through the first checkpoint. The times are as follows:
