Stage two of the Expedition Race begins

Teams gathered at 6:30 a.m. at the Mattagami First Nation Community Center for a pancake and sausage breakfast. All racers, support crew, volunteers and staff departed Mattagami First Nation at approximately 8:30 a.m. for a two hour drive south to the start of the second stage of the National Adventure Racing Championships.
Stage Two of the race started at 10:41 a.m. EST under overcast skies. Conditions were hot and humid. All of the teams were excited to begin the second stage which includes an 18 to 24 hour trek. The first check point on the trek is at Ishpatina Ridge, Ontario's highest elevation.See All Event Posts
