SRS Through CP7/TA2

Doug Doyle / 31.05.2006See All Event Posts Follow Event
SRS continues their commanding lead over the remaining teams in the field by making good progress at night to CP7/TA2 at the Elk Lake Campground.

I don\'t have the team time when they made it to CP7/TA2, however I heard it was around 1:30am. Their transition was a quick one, switching from paddling mode to the next discipline, mountain biking.

They are closing the distance to the end of stage two and will be travelling 50km on bikes to CP8/TA3 over flat paved roads passing Matachewan then the team navigator will be required to focus to lead the team through a maze of old logging roads.

Next up will be a shorter trek of 19km then a long 85km mountain bike ride to Timmins and the end to Stage 2. SRS will then have the luxury of resting until Stage 3 to take place on day six.
