High School Delta Adventure Race

After watching the National Adventure Racing Championships unroll, the Timmins High School students have been put to the challenge by Astrid Steele, a teacher at TH&VS.

Today, student teams will compete in "The High School Delta Adventure Race". The race begins on Porcupine Lake, with a canoe portion. They will then transition into cycling on the rotary club trails heading towards Gillies lake. Once they arrive at Gillies, they will race around the lake towards the finish line.

The National Adventure Racing Championships participants are very supportive of this event. Team members who have already arrived in Timmins are planning to attend the race to encourage the sudent racers.

Survivorman Les Stoud is also planning to attend and film a portion of the Delta Race.
