As teams left Transition Area 3, Enduraventure/Maplewood held strong in the third place spot followed by WeCeFAR/E-CAPS and Absolute Endo/NMET. Throughout the 48 mile trekking section, most teams stayed in the place they started in. At Checkpoint 15, Absolute Endo, who followed WeCeFAR for most of the trek, checked in at 9:36pm, sixteen minutes after Enduraventure. WeCeFAR came into CP15 nine minutes later at 9:45pm.

As the teams continued on the trek, the gaps between teams went from sixteen minutes to just over five hours. Enduraventure arrived at TA4 at 8:56am. Absolute Endo hiked into the TA at 10:44am and WeCeFAR did not come in until close to 3:00pm. The were followed by Blue Bayou Monsters who arrived at 3:05pm.

With the Orienteering Course cut for the remainder race, race directors told teams leaving before midnight that they would be hard pressed to get to the next TA before the next cut-off. Vyster pulled into TA4 at 7:13pm followed by Ausable River Rats at 7:31pm. Checkpoint Zero came in at 7:46pm followed by WEDALI at 7:48pm.See All Event Posts
