Brazilian Expectations

Team Mitsubishi Francis Hydratta QuasarLontra will be racing for the AR World Championship for the third time in Sweden. They were present in the second edition of the event, in Canada (2004), and in New Zealand (2005). Wladimir Togumi, the Editor of SleepMonsters Brazil interviewed team captain Rafael Campos before he left for the race.

Which will be the formation of the team?

I (Rafael Campos), Marina Verdini, Zé Luis (José Luis Reginatto, captain of team Endorfina - another brazilian team), who has already ran with us in another race and Guilherme Pahl (Team Oskalunga)

And preparation and training?

We are motivated and increasing our training, keeping in mind that the distance of the race is very long (800km). The new thing for us is to have to start training for in-line skating. I particularly do not know to skate and hate it. But I will have to be good until the race. Marina and Guilherme have some experience, but not much.

How will be this discipline go for you?

For me very badly! I will start some lessons and must be dedicated to arrive at the race knowing how to skate fast and not to fall. We haven´t made any team training, but when we do it will be very funny.See All Event Posts
