The evening prize-giving ceremony was at the finish line at Parque Ajedrez (Chess Park) sporting complex, and the last teams continued to roll in to great applause during the evening.

Four of the top-ten teams did end up receiving 30 minute penalties for errors in the orienteering course (SAFETY TREK NATIVOS (COL), BOSI (COL), RIOS Y CANOAS (COL) and 3 STEP IT (FIN). However, the spread in teams was for the most part great enough that this did not change the ranking – except for BOSI, who moved down from fourth to sixth place as a result of it.

Several teams put out very strong performances on this last day. SAFETY TREK NATIVOS, who have been chasing FINLAND all along, moved far ahead of the rest in the last bike up/run down to beat the Finns by about 15 minutes in this last stage. Even with their 30 minute penalty, their cumulative time is well under an hour behind FINLAND.

SOLE (USA) has been really strong these last two days as well, but have had to struggle to make up time lost due to navigational errors very early on in the race. ABARTH-TEVA (ESP) also raced really well today. After hanging around in about 6th place for the first two days, they seemed to gather some strength up today, fighting for the lead, and finishing second for the day, having passed FINLAND in the final kilometres of the last run.

Top ten teams (final cumulative times include penalties) are:
1. FINLAND (FIN) 23:50:24
2. SAFETY TREK NATIVOS (COL) 24:38:58
3. SOLE(USA) 25:14:13
4. INTER SPORT (FRA) 25:49:16
5. ABARTH-TEVA (ESP) 25:59:53
6. BOSI (COL) 26:06:49
7. RIOS Y CANOAS 27:19:25
8. CORRECAMINOS ZERIE (COL) 28:16
9. 3 STEP IT (FIN) 28:41:27
10. SAFERBO TRAXION (COL) 29:03:00
