Countdown to the fourth edition of Ecomotion/Pro in Brazil

Starting November 9th the state of Rio De Janeiro will host the fourth edition of Ecomotion/Pro, the Brazilian expedition race that is part of ARWorld Series. Over seven days and six nights, 240 athletes in 60 teams, including 20 from outside Brazil, will cover about 500km through 12 cities in the south east of Brazil.

The athletes will have to practise 8 different disciplines: orientation, mountain-biking, trekking, paddling (double kayak and inflatable kayak), rafting, coasteering and rope techniques (rappel, climb and zipline). “The involvement with adventure racing provides a great experience for those who practise this young sport,\" said Said Aiach Neto, organizer of the event. \"It is more than taking athletes to places of great natural beauty, these competitions provide a life changing experience.�

Ecomotion/Pro 2006 will have participants from the Switzerland, United States, Austria and Sweden, as well as representatives of diverse Brazilian states, like Quasarlontra, the only national team to win an Ecomotion/Pro race (Coast of Dendê- BA- 2004).See All Event Posts
