Coming up Short
As is always the way in AR, not all the teams who had their sights set on Spain have actually managed to get here. Of the original 30 teams entered, only 25.5 teams will actually be racing tomorrow ... and that’s if all goes well between now and 9am.

Team Buff Spain nearly made it but had to pull the plug at the last minute when either Frida Rosenburg or her bike (the specifics were lost in translation) broke shortly before departure. Let’s hope it was the bike and that Frida is ok.

Being short the odd team member has not stopped Pekka Sorjonen of Team Helsingin Umbihangihiihtajat (glad I only have to write that one!) who has decided to race unranked as a pair rather than waste the race entry, not to mention the experience and training opportunity. I’m sure they’ll be glad they stuck with it.

Not Enough Baggage
As for the remaining 25 teams, some still have reason to worry about making the start line. Team Supplierpipeline arrived in Spain accompanied by only half their luggage ... the other half never quite made it onto the plane. See All Event Posts
