In the Canyon

Sixteen teams are in the canyoneering section definitely enjoying the heat of the day and the cold canyon pools. Team DART/NUUN enjoyed a good nights rest while 16 teams continued their trek down the Canyon Esperanza.

The weather has turned warm and the teams will definitely enjoy the short swims they will find at the bottom of several rappels.

Team Helly Hanson/MOMAR reached the bottom of the canyon and began the Auto Rally heading for a sweltering desert hike to the final kayak.

This section is slow and updates will be minimal as the teams travel the canyon. We expected that many teams slept last night to avoid the sometimes difficult nighttime travel in the canyon.

The leaderboard has been updated and we\'ll add additional details as the checkpoint staff report to us. Good internet here in San Felipe so watch for reports whenever we get information.

Anyone who doesn\'t have something to do this weekend, take the drive to San Felipe and enjoy some of this beautiful weather.
