The party was filled with epic tales of the sea and the canyon, tales that will live in the minds of these racers forever. This year\'s race was an experience that changed many lives.

A handful of racers told me they feel like they can accomplish anything now that they\'ve made it through the Baja Travesia. The huge surf that tossed several boats and teams into the ocean and sank a number of boats challenged even the most experienced teams. And the novice teams that saw swells this big for the first time ever gained new confidence in their kayaks and water skills. From here everything else will be easy.

Already they are asking about next year, what can we do to top this year\'s course? Is it really possible? We think so and plans are already underway.

Congratulations to every team who made it through some portion of this year\'s Baja Travesia. Thanks to the volunteers that helped us to make it happen. Thanks to Chloe, Ed, Ed and Hermie for organizing the Rally Cars and Rally course.
