The 4th Reunion d\'Aventures Event

Friday 18th May 2007 The fourth edition of the Réunion d’Aventures finished this morning, shortly before midday, with the arrival of the final team in the town square in Cilaos. Team 22, LES GARS JAUNES, completed the Discovery course in 5 days, 8 hours and 29 minutes, about twenty-nine hours after the winners in the same category.
Going up the scale of categories, the finish line this morning saw the last three teams in the Adventure category, the last being team 17 FOUS DE BASSIN 1 – COMME UN EQUIPAGE which finished the Adventure course in 5 days, 2 hours and 15 minutes, or nineteen hours after the winners in the same category.
In the Extreme category, a final team was expected in Cilaos, team 11 DENIV’ which finished 21 hours from the leaders, in 5 days and 47 minutes.
Note that the top three in the Extreme category are all of alpine origin. The first Reunion Island team was team 20, RUN EVASION SALOMON MIXTE which finished 4th in the Extreme category. Behind them, another mixed Reunion Island team, no. 19, RUN’AVENTURES won first place in the Adventure category. Finally, the only women’s team, also from Reunion Island, team 21, RUN EVASION SALOMON KAFRIN, finished tenth in the Discovery category.
