The fourth edition of the REUNION D’AVENTURES has just finished. It took place from Sunday 13 to Friday 18 May with a water prologue (swimming with flippers and free dive) that was held at the Saint Leu surf spot.

For the first time, REUNION D’AVENTURES introduced a team formula with three partners: two field members and a team member for assistance, with the roles changing as the competitors wished at certain regulated points on the course. This formula gave the race a nervier dimension which was thus faster than in the past. However, the rules concerning bivouacs remained unchanged: fully immersed in nature, the teams were obliged to stop where they were at 6 pm sharp and could not leave their night camp before 6 am the following morning.

On the morning of Sunday 13 May, twenty-seven teams started on rollers on the Bebour-Belouve forest road in the heart of the island. The eighty one competitors were to complete the race over three different course categories:
- Extreme course, 263 kms and 13 400 m positive relief;
- Adventure course, 251 kms (12 000 m);
- Discovery course, 214 kms (9 500 m).
