Mudge takes another Skyrunner Course Record

More than 550 runners took part in this 22 km race, the 4th in the Skyrunner series, with a highest point at breathtaking 3152m on Piz Boè. Agustà Roc, who recently starred in the MountainX in France, lead the race from the start, reaching the top alone in just 1.16.40, followed by the another Catalan Jessed Hernà ndez (1.18.42) and the Slovenian Mitja Kosovelj (1.18.52). The lead however was not enough to hold off the Slovenian Mitja Kosovelij on the spectacular descents that followed, and he won comfortably in 2.04.53 beating the previous record time of Augusti Roc by three minutes.
The second position was taken by Tòfol Castanyer in 2.06.30 who fulfilled expectations as the runaway leader of the Buff® SkyRunner World Series. Agustà Roc took third in 2.07.21 followed by Jessed Hernandez in 2.07.50. It was another exhibition of running by the Catalan Team, now one of the great teams of the world circuit.
In womens race, the seasons outstanding racer Angela Mudge (UK) was the winner in 2.30.17, breaking the women’s record bt more than 2 minutes. Second across the line was the Andorran Stephanie Jiménez, putting herself in a good place for a podium finish in the series and third was Italian racer Paola Romanin in 2.42.16.
