Sunday, 15th July dawned bright and humid. The 25km stretch of beautiful white sands in front of the Desaru Golden Beach Resort in Desaru in the southern city state of Malaysia is a stunning contrast to the long and flat inland terrain that will challenge the racers. It was the venue of the one-day Eco-Games Desaru Johor 2007 adventure race. “It’s going to be a glorious day, I sigh inwardly and contentedly.
This, however, did not deter the more than 70 racers who took to the challenge. Held in Desaru, Johor in the southern state of Malaysia, the race was the second in a series of the Eco-Games Series Adventure Race 2007. The first race was held in Lake Kenyir 2007 in May. Organized by Max Quest Sdn Bhd, this series of race will culminate in the Eco-Games Championship Langkawi in Kedah on 21st to 25th October 2007.

Enduro for teams comprising 2 to a team, covering a total route of 91 km
Solo for individuals covering a total route of 87 km
