Nearly 100 competitors showed up to take part in the Caja Segovia-La Pinilla Grand Prize Multisport Raid and first Kayak Polo Tournament on July 28th.

The event started at noon, with an orienteering stage near a ski resort, then went on to a spectacular mountain biking section, almost entirely a descent, to end at the village of Riaza.

While this was going on, a Kayak Polo tournament started in the water-supply pool at the ski resort. The following teams: Ciencias, Manzanares, Piragua Madrid and Las Rozas attempted to classify for the grand final, which would take place at 8:00 that evening, once the Multisport Raid was over.

Meanwhile back in Riaza the teams, each formed of two people, had to undertake an urban orienteering challenge, assisted by a tourism map of the village and some photos of some of Riaza’s sites: La Ermita de San Roque, the Health Centre or Plaza Porticada, and others.See All Event Posts
