Day 5: Eleven teams have made it to the finish line at the port of Ensenada...

Day 5, 2pm

Goldrush Motherlode/Racing with Giants have just paddled in to the finish line here in Ensenada, accompanied by Victor and Eduardo of team Shawii, racing unranked. Their third team-mate Kristen was waiting for them here, and hobbled to the finish line to share the moment with them as Karen Lundgren showered them all with champagne.

All the teams I had previously seen pass through TA8 have all made it here without incident. We still have five teams out on course: Suburbanrush.com, Dirty Avocados, Equinox, Lucky, and El Rey Azul.

Two of the eighteen teams have withdrawn: Feed the Machine and Hilarious.

Suburbanrush.com had a complete support vehicle breakdown. Race Directors Paul and Karen have totally come through to help them continue in this race by re-assigning volunteers and vehicles to make sure this team can make it home.See All Event Posts
