The Champions Shine at the Tre-X Off Road Triathlon Champs!

With only a few light showers and mild temperatures in the week leading up to the race the course was looking fast and furious.

With some new faces lining up for the long course and a few even flying in from interstate for the season finale it was always going to be a hotly contested event.

And at 7.30am on a beautiful clear morning our brave off road champions hit the water in the start of the 1km swim.

With a blistering swim time of 13:12 mins Cam Bartram was first out of the water closely followed by Glenn Kirby. Not far behind Kim Beckinsale led the girls out of the water in 14:16 mins with Jacqui Kelly not far behind.

As the open competitors headed out on the first 10km lap of the MTB course a tough battle was developing at the head of the pack on a course that had everything to offer competitors from fast open tracks, some tough uphill climbs and sections of flowing single tracks with a few minor creeks around to keep everyone on their toes.

Behind them in the age group categories Zac Pearson led the men out of the water with Team JAC the first of the team out of the water and onto the bikes. As dominant as ever in this series Tamara Cook led the women out of the water and onto the MTB course.
