Day 2 - Long Nights, Cold Showers and Retirals

Day 2 of the Raid Bimbache Extrem began with the arrival at the hotel Venta Juanilla of 2 teams who have retired from the race. Gallaecia and Proinde Aventura both withdrew from the race in the early hours of the morning, suffering from injury, fatigue and the cold damp conditions overnight. Later in the day, Buff would also exit the race after an injury to Beatriz Grande, caused by a crash during the first skating section, worsened overnight. They opted to preserve the rest of their team and prevent any further injury and accepted that their race was over.
Air France Industries arrived late at T3/4 and have chosen to continue unranked in the race, bypassing the kayak stage and MTB leg,in order to bring themselves back into the ‘pack’.See All Event Posts
