Florida Coast to Coast Adventure Race
The Race is Over So Lets Announce the Finishers

Teams hiked, biked and paddled their way across Florida to compete in the Florida Coast 2 Coast. Of the 10 teams who made their way to the start line, 6 finished the race by crossing the finish line.First across the finish line was Team Adventure World Magazine. This team had two teammates forced to withdraw for medical reasons, but the other two were determined to finish the race. Although unranked Ron and Julie did not give up and did their team proud. The rest of the field came across the line during the evening and into the early morning to a well deserved rest and shower.
The official rankings of the finishing teams are:
First Place 4 person elite: Team Nature Calls, this team was caught out by a rainstorm that would scare Noah into building another Ark, faced challenging navigation and still kept on racing.
First Place 2 person: Team Two Canines Chasing Their Tails. These guys were like almost every other team, when you saw them they were smiling.
Second Place 2 person: Team Humdinger. This two person team was competing in their first adventure race ever. For newbie racers they showed not only great spirit during the race but good route choices and strong skills. This is a team that is sure to compete in other AR’s and I hope come back to Florida for other races.
First Place Soloist: Team Uruk Hai. Collin showed the true spirit of racing by never giving up and being one of only two teams to complete the full course. At one point Collin thought the SleepMonster had overtaken him only to find out that yes those were REAL monkeys he saw.
First Place Relay Category: Team Lost in Florida. This six person coed team never seemed to get down. The two racers in the TA’s would make sure that everything was ready for they’re teammates and then get prepared for their time on the course. This team chose the Relay Category because as they said “it was easier to find racers then to find support crew.�See All Event Posts
