The Final Countdown (and Results!)

As the UK Selection event for the Land Rover G4 Challenge drew to a close, the participants gathered in the Land Rover Experience compound at Eastnor Castle to find out which four of them (two men, two women) had made the grade and would be coming back to Herefordshire for the International selection event in February.

A good performance there would see them heading on to the finale, three weeks of racing in Mongolia. With the speeches out of the way, nervous glances and sweaty palmed handshakes exchanged, it was time for the results.

First to be chosen was Sarah Davies, a member of the \"Tea and Medals\" Adventure Race team in the 2007 Wilderness ARC, from Winchester.

Next, Bruce Duncan, from the hugely successful Aberdeen Asset Management team, ironically actually living in Aberdeen.

Third, Maria Leijerstam, a former 3 Peaks Yacht Race and Marathon des Sables competitor from Teddington.

And last, but by no means least, Andy Grieve, a doctor from Wittering, and a participant in the 2003 G4 International selections.See All Event Posts
