Mlle. Helene Compignie started the race with the team Energie Cote Sud. After 36 hours she withdrew from the race and the three male team members are continuing unclassified. From a French roadside cafe in La Palud sur Verdon, at the end of the canyon section, here are a few of her impressions. The interview took place in French.

Anne-Marie: "Helene, you're an experienced adventure racer, what happened?"

Helene: "I decided to pull out of the race because for this type of extreme expedition race it is vital to have a highly cohesive team and I didn't feel that with my team dynamics; I wasn't confident"

A.M: "What has struck you most about this race as you continue to follow it in the support crew van?"

Helene: "I hope that the bad memories will be quickly forgotten and that all I'll remember is the magnificent countryside we've gone through and all of the good people I've met amongst the other racers and support crew. I'm disappointed not to have been able to fully participate in such a wonderful adventure because Raid in France is an extraordinary race and one that allows all of the racers to discover and re-discover France!"See All Event Posts
