A large part of today for the mid- and rear-pack teams was a kayaking/orienteering stage, on the Embalse Santa Theresa. The stage was relatively straightforward, but of course had its own complications - well, it wouldn’t be adventure if there weren’t complications, would it?<br />

The teams on the water overnight had a harder time than those out during the day. The wind was higher, assisting them on the out-lap from the end of the lake to the two navigation loops, but forcing them to struggle their way back through the waves. Visibility was good, the sky clear and the moon fairly bright, but again the navigation and marker-spotting were more difficult - especially when at least one of the two ‘landing’ markers was sited over 300yds from the mapped location.
