Extreme challenges and good tactical skills are required as the best endurance athletes race against each other in Endurance Quest Adventure Race.  22 teams from 12 countries have started the race and the winners will cross the finish line on Friday.

During four days of non-stop racing, the mixed teams of four will use their legs, bikes, canoes, boats and inline skates among other means of transport as they make their way from one check point to the next.

In addition, the race course will test the teams’ rope and navigation skills as well as mental skills in some secret disciplines. The route choices and rest plan will have a crucial impact on which team will cross the finish line first.

The race course is more than 600 km long, and crosses small towns like Raasepori, Hanko, Siuntio, Kirkkonummi and Inkoo in Southern Finland. The course will take advantage of the special features Finnish nature has to offer, such as the sea and other water areas.

Endurance Quest headquarters has been full action since Saturday. The teams arrived during the weekend to make the last preparations on site. Today the day has been full of action. Team registration started in the morning. The teams have all done skill tests with ropes and kayak rescue. In the afternoon, the teams finally got a thick pile of maps and pages of roadbook.

The night is getting closer and all preparations should soon be ready. It will be an early wake up tomorrow, as busses to the start will leave at 4.30 am Finnish time. Start will take place at 7 am.
