Endurance Quest Adventure
Omjakon Leading Endurance Quest After 12 hours of Racing
Endurance Quest / 24.07.2012

Endurance Quest began early this morning by the sea at Porkkalanniemi. The total number of teams was 22 and the race course had to be changed due to windy weather conditions. The organizers worked hard the previous night to find a better and safer way for the teams.
The first day included several kayaking and coasteering sections as well as rowing, orienteering and inline skating. The total length of the first ten hours of the race was about 80 km.
After 12 hours of racing Finnish Omjakon has about 10 minutes lead on another Finnish team Multisport.fi, which had lead the first 10 hours of the race. The third place belongs to French team Adge Raid Aventure. So far one team, Wallahalla, has decided to quit the race.
A highlight so far has been without a doubt the flying fox zip line over Storaträsk lake. During the first night teams will face a hard 42 km long trek in the forests of Nuuksio, including some rope work.
You can follow the race online via gps tracking at www.endurancequest.com and the race Facebook page.
