Mediterranea Adventure Race 2015 - 3 Days Nonstop Across Sardinia

The new Mediterranea Adventure Race 2015 is a multisport endurance race unique in Italy and will be attended by teams of international renown and some of the best endurance athletes in the world from Oct 2-04th.

The expedition race lasts three days on a route of 350 km across the wild lands of Supramonte, Arzana, Villagrande and Talana countryside.  In 60 hours of non-stop racing the 10 international teams of two will pass torrents and canyons, plateau and deep valleys to reach the last stage in the wild coast of Baunei.

The route is secret, during the race the teams have to find the check points by themselves following a fixed order along the route with different disciplines. It will be an exciting route, various, technical and hard.

The finish line is in Calagonone where there will also be organized also an ‘Adventure Challenge’ for the local athletes who want to experience adventure racing.

The Race Director is Telemaco Murgia, who is the technical manager of Centro Outdoor Mediterranea Adventure. An experiences excursion and tourist guide, he is also a National Instructor ASI, Mountain bike Instructor, Athletic Trainer and Skydiving Instructor. Telemaco is also a high standing athlete in international Adventure Races and is passionate about the environment and hiking, as well as specialized in the marketing of sports tourism products and in the identification of new route and trails.
