Richter and Johansen prevail at second stop of the Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series

Raphaela Richter (GER) and Zakarias Johansen (NOR) are the winners of the second stop of the Specialized- SRAM Enduro Series which was staged at the third day of the Ziener BIKE Festival Willingen powered by MINI kicking off the events last sportive decisions. Both favourites dominated on the – compared to last year – finetuned, 37km long (1,100m of climbing) course in stylish fashion.
In the women's event, Richter (Radon Magura Factory), last year's third ranked rider, posted the best time on all six stages clocking in a 13:47.89 for the whole course.
Veronika Bruechle (GER, Stevens MTB Racing Team, 14:40.41) and Lisa Policzka (GER, Ghost Riot Racing, 15:46.32) came in as respective second and third.
In the men's event, Johansen was able to underline that his second rank finish at the tour opener in Treuchtlingen last month wasn't a flash in the pan. The Specialized Nordic athlete was the fastest racer on five stages finally clinching the event in a time of 11:10.48.
Team Bulls rider Christian Textor (GER, 11:24.34), who was the only one to beat the Norwegian Viking in the third sector, finished second with a gap of almost 14 seconds. Gustav Wildhaber (SUI, Cube Action Team, 11:36.59), who also competed in the downhill event later that day, rounded out the podium as third.
In total, 350 mountain bikers had tackled the technical demanding course in the North of Hesse which featured two brand-new stages and a high share of loose forest ground on the total of six stages.
