The Ziener BIKE Festival Willingen powered by MINI concluded on Sunday after three eventful and exciting days. In total, the mountain bike weekend in the Upland region attracted 35,000 visitors to the North of Hesse, despite some partly heavy rain falls

About 150 exhibitors as well as 300 brands were at site to present the latest product developments for the season while 3,000 active mountain bikers competed in numerous sport events, including MTB legend Gary Fisher, who participated in his first ever eMTB Marathon race.

Besides the Rocky Mountain BIKE Marathon, a flagship of the European marathon scene with more than 2,000 starters, also the downhill and enduro race as well as the newly integrated gravel, eMTB Marathon and Pump Battle event were well-excepted and therefore have good chances to be part of next year's official programme again.

"New and innovative race formats as well as an increased demand for exhibitor booths have underlined that the Ziener BIKE Festival Willingen powered by MINI is very important for the scene. You cannot imagine a mountain bike year without Willingen," said Mathias Ley.
