General Description
This new version of the race (ninth) has innovations that aim to encourage the teams of 4
people in Chile, which is the international standard in racing adventure. This new challenge will be 4 Aysen
day 13 to 17 January, 2015 (see itinerary), with intermediate rest camps
ELITE controlled to categories and AVENTUREROS; break time depends on the category. It runs on
pairs for Adventurers and ELITE categories in quartets. Category Adventure is Soft on Km. Tour
and demands, mandatory breaks longer. The Elite category in teams of 4 where one of
including at least six must be opposed. This category is in form NON - STOP. As always the race
will Trekking trails and off trails, forests Orientation, Bicycle, without double kayak on top.
The Aysen Challenge is a race issue, four-day, 100% non stop without
assistance to the ELITE category. Mixed teams must be formed by four people where they will travel
a distance of approximately 380 km to 420 km, at a maximum of four days, through mountains, valleys,
lakes, rivers of the Andes, always staying together and guided by topographic maps and
compass.
To complete the course the teams will go through several of Checkpoints (PC) by
different sports like trekking, mountain bike and kayak sit on top doubles. There will be no time limits to pass
PC (only in the section of kayak you can not paddle at night). The only limit time is the day and time that ends the
career. The teams that failed to reach the goal that day and time remain disqualified.

In some camps the race there will be food available for sale for runners and
drinks and other products. Athletes have the opportunity to take your food, drinks and how to cook in

Climatic and environmental conditions
January weather conditions in the region of Aysen, Chile; are long days dawns around

- They must go through all the Checkpoints indicated that his passport. Optional positions will exist

who continue to drive to a computer over a stretch of Mountain Bike to give them light or give
food.
- Teams SI can buy food or sleep in a hotel or cabin of any population where
passes the race. This rule is so because the opportunity is equal for all, that is both a team

Categories
There will be two categories for this adventure race in teams of 2 people over 18

I. AVENTUREROS equipment categories: Men pairs / JOINT (Male - Female or Female -
Woman) Only room for 31 teams in this category
Teams with a little experience in running adventure race, are being initiated. They can run on the computer
two women if they wish. A basic level of guidance is required but must be able to have a
resistance to be 10 to 12 hours each day competition. Have mandatory breaks approx. 6 to 8 hours
at least at Camps

• Teams Adventurers Knights (16 Seats)
II. ELITE equipment categories: Quartets 3 Male and 1 woman or variants that include a
member at least of the other sex. Single room for 15 teams in this category
• 16 Quotas for mixed teams (ELITE) (3 men and 1 woman or variants)
Teams with experience in running adventure race of this type, race NON STOP mode, teams
run other races in Chile or abroad. They should check ALL checkpoints of the race and have
demanding route guidance and distance, mandatory breaks shorter (2-4 hrs per 24 hrs
approx.). NOT allowed in this category teams that are not mixed.

On any date you choose to cancel participation in the race, the organization Aysen Challenge 2015

Itinerary and Logistics Career
Tuesday January 13 - We encourage teams to reach this day Coyhaique to do all the
