AIMS certified. The North Pole Marathon is recognised by Guinness World Records as the northernmost marathon on earth. It is the only certified marathon distance run on water - the frozen water of the Arctic Ocean! Competitors can experience temperatures averaging -25C and will run over small hillocks of ice on a repeated circuit. Fee includes plane ride to North Pole Camp, heated accommodation and food, helicopter rides in the polar region, award ceremony at exactly 90N and 48 hours in total on the ice. There are 24 hours of daylight at the Poel and no stringent cut-off time to complete the distance. Entry Fee( USD ) 10,000
