Instruction in White-water paddling and swimming/rapelling, ascending fixed ropes/ navigation/mountain bike riding. Aspiring adventure athletes interested in being a part of this fast-growing sport, and experienced racers who want to become more proficient will learn necessary outdoor skills at beautiful Camp Washington Carver. The Academy is the longest-running AR school in America. In addition to covering the above disciplines, we cover physical training, racing strategy and outdoor survival skills. Activities are held in scenic locations throughout the beautiful New River Gorge area. Classroom training takes place in the Camp Washington Carver cabin, the largest chestnut-log structure in the country. Instructors are accomplished adventure racers and experts in the various disciplines.
