Each year we create a race that highlights the unique terrain in the places we visit. Full Moon is now 12 years old and we're creating our best race ever to celebrate. This brand new course will challenge and humble racers.

The race starts at 00:00hrs on the Saturday closest to the full moon in June (hence the name). Teams compete nonstop in disciplines including mountain biking, trekking, paddling and fixed ropes, all connected by challenging navigation. The FMIJ takes teams through the most stunning and remote terrain in Canada's Rocky Mountains.

The 2010 Full Moon in June will take place in the Castle/Crowsnest Wilderness, just outside of Crowsnest Pass, AB. The scenery alone will make the race worth it. We have planned an epic ridge walk with much of the trekking taking place in the high alpine. The paddling will be short and exhilarating as we are planning some really fun class I-II river sections. The biking will be primarily double and single track through beautiful, rolling countryside. As always, navigation will play a key roll in the race – the Castle is a tough land.
