The Arrow 24 Hour Adventure Race was exported to Australia, after the series was a runaway success in New Zealand. The first Australian race was in 2001 and the series has been going strong since then.
The race is generally a good hard slog in beautiful bushland, with some navigation required. Teams provide their own boats, and so the race is generally popular with paddlers.
