Dark & White / RaceKit Mini Mountain Marathon Series - Round 3
Length: 3 hours
Location: Peak District
Hilly testing and challenging events - organised and run under standard FRA (Fell Running Association) rules
Visit as many control sites (each having a varying points value) as possible within 3 hours - route planning is as important as fitness. There are penalty points if you are back late! Basic navigation skills are required & these events are mainly aimed at trail or fell runners as well as orienteers, but they are also suitable for strong walkers. Control sites will be identified by red & white orienteering \"kites\" on the feature to which a SPORTident box will be attached.
Registration opens at 8.00am. Start anytime between 08.45 & 10.15hrs. Try to arrive at least 30 minutes before you intend to run. At the start line you will be handed a map & a control description/value sheet. Course closes at 14.00hrs. Drinks & biscuits will be available to finishers. Entry Fee( GBP ) 18/10
