The Lopez Lake AR is designed to bridge the gap between 2-hour sprint races and our 12-hour Dawn to Dusk race. It doesn’t hurt that the terrain in and around Lake Lopez is beautiful and epic with a great mix of single track, fire road and off trail terrain.
This race encompasses the major disciplines found in longer adventure racing competitions -- including navigation throughout and a ropes section. The Lopez Lake AR provides a challenge to experienced adventure racers and those who are new to adventure racing.
It includes:
4 to 6 miles of kayaking
10 to 15 miles of mountain biking on road, single track and fire roads
7 to 8 miles of trail running
Navigation/Orienteering (Map and Compass)
Rope Challenge Swimming Mountain Biking Navigation Zip Wire/Tyrolean Ropework Mountain Trek/Run Trail Running/Walking Entry Fee( USD ) 120
