Location: Different locations in Tasmania each year
The Challenge is a premium, multi-day, multi-discipline event taking in over 350km of terrain across some of Tasmania’s most stunning scenic locations. Taking place annually, it is run to raise funds for charities supported by the Mark Webber Foundation.
Competitors include elite and amateur athletes, popular celebrities and corporate entries, each forming two-person teams to mountain bike, kayak and trek a different but equally challenging daily course in a variety of locations around Tasmania. Teams will also face other unique activities designed to push them outside their comfort zone.
Each day’s competition ends at an overnight camp, where teams will have the chance to rest, recover and enjoy a meal, featuring some of the best local produce.
Competitors are provided with some of the most modern equipment available including camping equipment, kayaks and team kit, all of which is supplied for the duration of the event. There is a full support crew including medics, safety officers, chefs, team hosts, media managers, massage therapists, drivers and equipment mechanics.
The event is designed to challenge all ranges of ability and provide all competitors with a truly unique, once in a lifetime experience as they push themselves beyond their personal and team limitations.
