The Black Forest Adventure Race Schwarzwald is an adventure race for everybody - manageable and fun for beginners and ambitious and challenging for profs.

Three different start categories provide several options for your team to meet the experience: there are 30 km mountainbiking and 21 km trailrunning in the Master Class, 20 km mountainbiking and 13 km trailrunning in the Challenge Class and  12 km mountainbiking und 5 km trailrunning on the Short Track. In all three categories, you have to additionally accomplish several adventure elements as a third discipline (this year, these are mine exploration, flying fox, bike parcours, orienteering, rope distance, obstacle course).

The race route is themed "altitude gain". In mastering it, you'll experience great Black Forest adventures within a small area: you'll struggle up heights and go down narrow paths, plunge into the deep forest and open up to wide views, overcome obstacles and adjust to various routes and tracks. On the trail, you will also meet the adventure elements that will each ask for your adventurous temper and team spirit.

Physical shape and technical strength aren't the only attributes that matter if you decide to sign up for the adventure - the capability of working together as a team and the ability to face new and unknown situations are also keys to meet the challenge. Each team can use a great spectrum of skills and aptitudes and can show its potential in different fields by using its own special and unique strategies.

No matter whether amateur or professional athlete - everyone gets the chance to show his / her potential. As a 2-person or 4-person team you have to stick together, communicate, and find solutions and ways to meet the various challenges.

The primary goal of the race is to share the experience of the adventure and cross the finishing line together.

• Master Class: ca. 30 km (1538 altitude meters) Mountainbiking + ca. 21 km (1'157 altitude meters) Trailrunning + 6 adventure elements
• Challenge Class: ca. 20 km  Mountainbiking (1090 am) + ca. 13 km (687 am) Trailrunning + 6 adventure elements
• Short Track: ca. 12 km Mountainbiking + ca. 5 km Trailrunning + 4 adventure elements
