Welcome to the 2016 Absolute Wilderness Adventure Race, presented by Nathan Fa’avae. 

The 3rd edition of the event will be staged in the idyllic thermal resort of Hanmer Springs and surrounding region, nestled in the mountains with an abundance of outdoor sporting opportunities. 

The 2016 event will venture into the wilds using whitewater rafting, mountain bikes and fancy footwork (hiking and running), and in true adventure racing style, teams will need navigation skills to collect all the checkpoints to reach the finish line.
