Dear competitors, adventurers and mountain sports fans. After concluding successfully our first adventure race, it’s a proud for us to present the second edition of “La Ruta Madre Expedition Race”, our goal is to promote the adventure sports in México, ecotourism, explore the wonders that nature offers to us and live a bunch of emotions together.
Our race requires good physical and mental strength, offering different distances and categories to encourage the participation of adventurers in our country. The ones who enter this race, are expected to have the technical knowledge and physical strength in different mountain sports so that the finishers can proudly complete it.
We will run through paths and canyons, climb mountains, orienteer in unknown places, ascend and rappel waterfalls and we will admire landscapes worth of the Sierra Madre Oriental. The event will take place in the Parque Nacional Cumbres de Monterrey. The race consists in multiple adventure sports as: mountaineering, trail running, canyoneering, mountain biking and paddling. The racer should master different skills as: orienteering, ascend and descend in ropes, paddle techniques, swimming and climbing.

Dates to consider: 16-19 November 2018.
Race starts: 06:00 AM Saturday 17th November 2018.
Meeting request: 16:00 Friday 16th of November 2018. We will deliver the welcome kit and instructions of the race. It is mandatory for all competitors to be present for registration, kits and information meeting.
Estimated Times Races: 50 KM 12 hrs, 100 KM 24 hrs, 200 km 40 hrs.
Course open: 50 KM 20 hrs, 100 KM 30 hrs, 200 KM 54 hrs.
Awards Ceremony: 14:00 Monday 19th November 2018.
